artist biography

Lydia Kegler (American, born 1995) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Buffalo NY. She is currently a University at Buffalo MFA candidate, and has a BA in Creative Writing and Literature from Naropa University (2019). Her oil painting and drawing centers on the aesthetics of luxury and pleasure in food, and dessert, as well as everyday objects. 

Kegler has exhibited in solo and group shows in Chicago IL (ARC Gallery), Tokyo Japan (Studio Gross), Los Angeles CA (Luca Gallery, JCC Foundation), Buffalo NY (CEPA Gallery, NeMLA, The UB Project Space, El Museo, Impact Art Gallery), and Boulder CO (Nalanda Gallery, Trident). Her work is published in “Sitting: The Physical Art of Mediation” by Erika Berland (2017), “RipRap Literary Journal”, Los Angeles CA (2019), “Split Milk”, The Poetry Society of NY (2020), “Statement Magazine”, Los Angeles CA (2021), and “Sacral Wellness”, Oxfordshire UK (2021).
